Pencil

To an artist, pencil is the Ur-medium, the foundation on which all artistic practice is built. It is the tool of craftspeople, who have honed their skills over a lifetime of dedication, but equally that of children, who view the world with wonder and awe. Hand, heart and eye work in concert, in the act of creation.
